With voiceover artists working from their home studios, as usual, this gives us an opportunity to help out with some of our client's needs. One of our clients had recorded a software demo from an online Google Hangouts meeting and talked through their functions using their software. We were asked to provide a voiceover to replace the current voice already in the video. We were able to arrange for a voiceover to be recorded using a script provided by our client in no time!
Once we received the voiceover back we added it to the video and made some small amendments to the video to hide the fact that it was recorded from a stream. This included scaling the video to fit and masking out taskbar and unnecessary cursor movements. The video required a bit of lengthening and shortening in places to ensure that the newly recorded voiceover matched up with the actions performed in the video, and also to remove any substantial pauses and gaps.
