During this quieter period for the conference, events and filming industry, we're ensuring we use the time wisely. After the recent completion of ISO 14001, re-certification of ISO 27001 we decided to aim for Cyber Essentials.
What is Cyber Essentials?
Cyber Essentials is a government scheme set up to ensure we have the correct policies and procedures in place to best protect itself from cyber threats, such as hacking and protection from malware. Cyber Essentials Certification is the confirmation that we have put in these policies and procedures to best protect ourselves. There are two levels of this certification, Cyber Essentials, and Cyber Essentials Plus. We intend to go for the plus in the very near future.
How does Cyber Essentials help us and our clients?
Cyber Essentials is now becoming a mandatory requirement to be a supplier for lots of organisations. It instantly assures our clients that we are operating in such a way as to protect both ourselves and any data we may hold about our clients and projects. Getting our Cyber Essentials also gives us the reassurance that our cybersecurity levels are up to standard. Due to the auditing process, we now know that our General Data Protection Regulations are also up to date. Obtaining our Cyber Essentials Certification also gives us the opportunity to bid for government contracts, if we choose to do so.
