New year, new website! We all know that it’s important to keep our websites updated, but WHY exactly is that? The Cypher crew are back in Charlotte for this year’s Global Leadership Conference. Adrian and Chris saw the same event through last year with great success! They’ll be working at the gorgeous Kimpton Tryon Park Hotel throughout the 5-day-long event, providing AV equipment and support whilst also directing the conference. Pre-production and planning for an event like this is crucial. If we were to forget something, it could be detrimental to the flow of the event.

We hope you had a relaxed and enjoyable festive break surrounded by family and friends. It’s time to kick off 2019 right away! First off is a recce to the Lisbon Marriott in preparation for a potential ITX later this year, this is shortly followed by a Global Leadership Conference being held in Charlotte, North Carolina, USA.

2018 has been an excellent year for testing out lots of different technologies for our clients to use. In February we filmed and edited one of our clients presenting in front of a green screen, in order to remove the background and give the illusion that he was floating inside the holographic display, the hologram worked by utilising light diffraction to create a virtual 3D image of an object to bring it to life in the 270°, 3 sided viewing hologram display. This turned more than a few heads. On more than a few occasions this year, we’ve brought along iPad robots along to conferences.

We’ve had a crazy November here at Cypher Media, with jobs in London, Nice and Prague.

We’ve recently finished the creation of a gorgeous community health centres website, Nuffield Health Practice. We agreed on creating a fresh, modern website that was HTML5 & W3C compliant as well as being mobile friendly. The website was built using Joomla CMS / PHP which was decided after agreeing to the finalised template design and website functionality.

We’ve just invested in a brand new lightweight SWIT Flexi Panel, they will be very useful on shoots where we don’t have any transport taking our kit to the venue. The Flexi Panel rolls up and fits inside a small tube making it extremely portable, if we were to take our Dedo Lights instead, they require a large case along with lighting stands.

After a jam-packed few months of preparation, we’re finally kitted out to take on our three overlapping jobs in November! We’ve had all of our kit being used on the jobs out, tried and tested; we also invested in our fourth Blackmagic 4K Video Assist Monitor.

As you well may know, we’ve got an extremely busy upcoming November here at Cypher Media; with four simultaneous jobs occurring in Nice and London, with two jobs one-after-the-other in Prague. We’ll have Cypher crew dotted around each event; Jake will be in London, Chris will be in Nice and Adrian will be in Prague.
