Live in Venice
At first sight, staging a conference in Venice is a daunting proposition! Why? Because it’s Venice and there are no roads! So how did we transport our set, stage and equipment to the Hilton Molino Stucky for a Global Financial Services Tax Directors’ conference? Fortunately the Venetians have had over a thousand years to get used to this sort of thing and our lorry simply drove onto a large barge and was shipped to the hotel, where it moored alongside. Shiver me timbers! Here it was unloaded in 35 degrees of sunshine. Nessun problema!
The conference took place on June 8th to 10th and the theme was Emerging Tax Issues from Global Realignment. We provided an attendee registration website, set design, lighting, sound, projection, video recording and on-site editing. The audience participated using our new voting system.
In November we return to the same hotel for a larger event for the same Client.
Ship ahoy!
The Italian Jobs
Samual Johnson said, “A man who has not been in Italy, is always conscious of an inferiority, from his not having seen what it is expected a man should see”. No chance of us feeling inferior this year then! We are currently working on four conferences at three destinations in this stylish, cultured, good humoured and volatile land. Two conferences will be staged at the Molino Stucky Hilton in Venice. Here the challenge will be to transport all our equipment to the hotel by barge! The third conference is to be staged at the Rome Cavalieri Hilton and the fourth is at the Grand Hotel Palazzo Della Fonte in Fiuggi. We've worked in Italy on an number of previous occasions and have proved that " val più la pratica della grammatica" (experience is more important than theory) .
